Highland Park is its own town. It has its own government, its own police and fire departments and its own address boundary, and it is not a neighborhood of Dallas even though the City of Dallas surrounds it on every side. We serve it because it is minutes from our Oak Lawn office, not because it is part of Dallas.
The housing stock is what makes the cleaning work distinctive. Many Highland Park houses date from the interwar decades, and a lot of them still carry original quarter-sawn oak floors, hex tile bathrooms, plaster walls, leaded glass and painted millwork. Those are not surfaces to experiment on.
Cleaning an older house properly
| Surface | What we do | What ruins it |
|---|---|---|
| Original hardwood | Damp mop with minimal water, dried immediately behind the pass | Wet mopping, steam, and anything that stands on a seam |
| Hex and subway tile with unsealed grout | Neutral cleaner, agitation rather than aggression | Acidic descalers and stiff wire brushes |
| Plaster walls and painted millwork | Dry dusting and gentle spot work at handle height | Wet washing, which lifts distemper and old paint |
| Leaded and antique glass | Cloth and neutral solution, never sprayed directly at the came | Ammonia products and heavy pressure |
| Unlacquered brass hardware | Dusted and dry buffed | Polish, which strips the patina owners deliberately keep |
The services Highland Park households book
Recurring house cleaning
Most Highland Park homes run on a standing weekly or biweekly schedule with the same team each visit.
Read moreDeep cleaning twice a year
Usually late spring after pollen season and again before the holidays.
Read morePost-renovation cleanup
Highland Park runs an unusual amount of renovation work. Dust from a single-room job reaches the whole house.

Cleaning an empty house before furniture arrives, or at handover after a sale.
Read moreDiscretion and access
Almost all our Highland Park visits happen when nobody is home. Cleaners are vetted and background checked before a first visit, access arrangements are recorded once and followed every time, and we do not photograph interiors or discuss customers' homes. Alley access and rear entries are common here, and knowing which door to use saves time on every visit.
Highland Park and University Park are not the same place
They sit next to each other, they share a school district, and people say "the Park Cities" as though they were one place. For cleaning purposes they are meaningfully different: Highland Park skews toward larger older houses on established streets, while University Park carries a wider mix including smaller homes, duplexes and a large student and faculty rental population around SMU. Different housing means different work.
Highland Park questions
How soon can you start in Highland Park?
A first clean usually goes on the calendar within a few business days, and a standing weekday slot from the week after. Send the address and the bedroom and bathroom count through the quote form and we will come back with real dates.
Do you clean large homes in Highland Park?
Yes. Homes above roughly 3,500 square feet or with four or more bathrooms are scheduled with a larger team rather than a longer day. Request a quote and we will size it properly.
Can you work with original hardwood floors?
Yes, and carefully. Original floors get a damp mop with minimal water and are dried behind the pass. We do not steam clean or wet mop older wood.
Do you serve University Park too?
Yes. Both Park Cities municipalities are within our service area — see the University Park page for what differs there.
